Welcome to a New Year!

Welcome to new year at Grainwood Elementary!  I am so thrilled that your child will be apart of my classroom for the next year in Kindergarten.  I created this blog so parents had another fun way to look at the happenings in the classroom.  I will post pictures, projects and any other fun activities that we will be doing this year.  

As you walk into the new school year,  I am sure there are a variety of feelings that are going through your mind.  Will my child like school?  Will they like the teacher?  How will his or her teacher promote learning in the classroom that fits the need of my child?  All are questions that are common each year.  

As an educator, my main purpose is to create a learning environment that is welcoming, engaging, and most importantly inclusive.  All students will feel important from the minute that they walk into the classroom until the minute that they leave to go home for the day.  Our classroom is a place to build life-long learners and for students to be creative each and every day.
